What's in the name?

Why "Layer3 IT"? This diagram shows the popularly referenced OSI Network Model in which layer three is the Network Layer - the layer where logical network addressing takes place, so Layer3 IT is just a (slightly geeky!) reference to that.

By far the most common Network Layer protocol is the Internet Protocol (IP). Layer three is concerned with addressing of nodes on a network and with the selection of routes for packet delivery between internetworks.
